Jeremiah Fears, a consensus four-star guard prospect have committed to Brad Underwood Illinois program. Fears choose the Illini over Michigan, Ole Miss, Providence, and Kansas.
The 6-foot-3 prospect is currently playing at Arizona Compass Prep in Chandler, Arizona. He spend his first two high school seasons at Joliet West, IL.
Last spring and summer he played for Brad Beal Elite on the Nike EYBL circuit. He averaged 9.4 points, 3.3 assists and 2.7 rebounds per game and shot 37 percent overall, 29 percent from three-point range and 89 percent at the free throw line. In the Peach Jam he average 11.6 points, 4.2 rebounds, 2.8 assists and 2.6 steals.
Fears has risen his stock in the recruiting rankings. His game is excellent with the ball in his hands. In addition, he is good at moving around the court and can get the shot he wants. He has the potential to earn a spot in this year’s McDonald’s All-American Game.
