Sources told Ramona Shelburne from ESPN reported that Kawhi Leonard will miss game five and possibly the rest of the playoff series against Utah due to a right knee injury.
Leonard told his teammates last night to prepare for him to be out. He landed awkwardly on a drive in the fourth quarter and grimaced in pain Monday night. He briefly stayed in game but didn’t finish as the Clippers secured the win to even series at two.
Back in 2017 he suffered a quad tendon injury in his right knee. In this series Leonard averaged 27.3 points per game and 7.5 rebounds per game against the Jazz in four games.
Now the Clippers will need to turn to Paul George their second best players as well as the other role players to perform in Utah.
