Victor Wembanyama from France is the best prospect from Europe and is 7-2 and 210 pounds. Wembanyama is not the typical center he’s got a great handle and can bring it up like a Point Guard. He has a 7-8 wingspan and is very thin, lanky a superb talented player.
Wembanyama will be NBA draft-eligible in 2023, and has the potential to be the number one overall pick. He has the dimensions of Rudy Gobert but is much more mobile and agile with the ball. He‘s already has a 3-point shot on which his coaches are working more and more.
He currently plays for Nanterre 92 in France’s mPro A, a club that has brought out Rudy Gobert, Tony Parker, Boris Diaw, and Evan Fournier, but his future likely as one of Europe’s big clubs, before being eligible for the NBA.
At the Under-18 Adidas Next Generation Tournament this year in Lithuania he average 20.7 points, 15.3 rebounds, 7.6 blocks and 3.5 steals. In this event, he went up against players who were up to two and half years older than him.
Wembanyama will need to put on some weight and no other places he need to improve on his game. He will need to polish on his skill level.
