NC State magical run continues as the Wolfpack beat their ACC foe Duke 76-64 in the South Region to advance to the final four for the first time since 1983. DJ Burns led the way with 29 points. He was named Most Outstanding Player of the South Region.
DJ Horne had 20 points to help the Wolfpack in the win as well. NC State was down 27-21 at halftime, however they dominated the second half of the South Region final. North Carolina State shot 73.1 percent (19 for 26) from the field in the second half.
Duke shot just 32.2 percent from the field, including 5 of 20 from 3-point range. Jared McCain scored 32 points to lead Duke in all scorers. Jeremy Roach added 13 points and Kyle Filipowski had 11 points and nine rebounds before fouling out for the Blue Devils.
North Carolina State will face Purdue in the national semifinals on Saturday in Glendale, Arizona. Purdue is making their first appearance in the final four since 1980.
