Ryan Jones Jr a 6-foot-9 forward from the Class of 2024 commits to Virginia Tech. He choose the Hookies over Florida, in which he is a native of Gainesville.
Jones said to 24/7 sports where he broke the news stated “I’m a big relationship guy and going down there for my first time for the official visit just the vibe was there,” Jones told 247Sports. “When I was done with the visit, I had a peace about Virginia Tech and when I went to the other schools nothing beat them.
“What they did to recruit me was genuine. They are real people and have a passion for the game and a passion for people like me.” Jones is the second commit in Virginia Tech’s 2024 class, joining Tyler Johnson, and the fourth-highest rated recruit in program history.
