Kareem Reid aka The Best Kept Secret

Kareem Reid a 5-foot-10 point guard was a star at St Raymond’s high school in the Bronx, New York. Played for Nolan Richardson at Arkansas, then played overseas and with The Harlem Globetrotters.

He lead St Raymond’s to the 1993 CHSAA City Championship by beating Rice led by Felipe Lopez. Then beat PSAL City Champion Walton to win the New York State Championship.

Reid one a true feisty player who plays with heart night in and night out. He was that special talent who can control the game from the point guard position. He’s a great passer, a talented shooter with deep range plus he’s got blow-by speed. Reid is a guy who has tough skin and never back down from a challenge.

Kareem Reid got his nickname The Best Kept Secret in the Entertainers Basketball Classic. He made his mark by carrying rapper Fat Joe’s Terror Squad to three consecutive EBC championships in the 2000’s. We salute Kareem Reid for his talents and bringing great memories to NYC Basketball.
