The Portland Trail Blazers named Jim Moran the first head coach of their new G League affiliate on Thursday.
Moran spent the past two seasons as an assistant coach with the Detroit Pistons. He began his NBA coaching career as an assistant with the Trail Blazers and spent six seasons from 2015-21.
Moran played professionally for Spain’s CB Gran Canaria for 11 seasons after playing collegiately at William & Mary.
