AJ Dybansta the top prospect from the Class of 2026 will be transferring from St Sebastian high in Massachusetts to Prolific Prep in Napa, California. The 6-foot-8 forward averaged 19.1 points per game as a freshman last season.
He broke the news on his Twitter account. With Dybansta transferring to Prolific Prep he will be joining forces with Tyran Stokes who is another top prospect from the Class of 2026 as well. Having the top two prospects on the same team is going to be a problem for opposing teams.
Both of them will have experience in playing together in which they both played on Team USA Under 16 squad which dominated the competition and won the gold medal in FIBA Americas tournament.
Dybansta is playing for team Expressions in the Nike EYBL this summer. He is averaging 14.8 points per game, 3.8 rebounds per game, and 4.3 assists per game.
He is the hyped high school prospect in the Boston area since Patrick Ewing. Also his mother is from Jamacia in which is where Ewing is from.
Dybansta can played both ends of the floor and shows his quickness. His transition ability is advanced and hos jumper has shown promise. He can handle the ball in which he can escape past defenders. He’s got a quick release on his jumper and rebounds with explosive vertical ability and length.
Dybansta said in his twitter “Time for that next step. First I would like to thank Coach Dave and Coach Sam at St. Sebastians and the unbelievable 2 years but I have decided to take the next step in my journey. Next fall will be attending Prolific Prep!! Let’s work!!”
