Former West Virginia forward Jimmy Bell Jr. announced Wednesday that he is transferring to Mississippi State. As a senior, the 6-foot-10 forward averaged 4.8 points and 5.2 rebounds in 18.6 minutes. He started all 34 games for the Mountaineers.
It was Bell’s only season at West Virginia. He began his college career by playing two seasons at Saint Louis and then played one season at Moberly Area Community College in Missouri before joining West Virginia.
Bell is a native of Saginaw, Michigan, who was a three-star prospect out of Bella Vista Prep in Scottsdale, Arizona.
