Kevin Durant’s Diagnosed result in 4 to 6 Weeks Rehabilitation

During the second quarter of January 15’s game between the Brooklyn Nets and New Orleans Pelicans, Kevin Durant suffered an injury and was diagnosed with MCL on his left knee. As a result of his injury, Durant expects four to six weeks of rehabilitation to full strength before returning.

Although this isn’t Durant’s first rodeo to suffer an injury and miss out on several games; however, his injuries were never the problem as Durant became one of the most recognized NBA players in history.

Kevin Durant is an NBA player currently playing for the Brooklyn Nets as a Small forward and Power forward. Over the last two seasons, he scored an average of 28 points, 7.4 rebound points, and 5.7 assistant points per game. Durant won multiple awards throughout his professional career, such as 2x NBA Champions, 2x NBA Finals MVP, NBA MVP, 11x NBA All-Star, NBA Rookie of the Year, and more.

Durant’s happy to announce his running-up for the MVP award within the second rank behind the Milwaukee Bucks Giannis Antetokounmpo.

Outside of his professional career, Durant enjoys playing video games and helping the community and international countries with his organization, “Kevin Durant Charity Foundation.” His organization focuses on children from low-income families achieved through education, social, and athletic programs.

Before Kevin Durant became known in the NBA, he grew up in Maryland with his siblings, single mother, and grandmother. His father abandoned the family for 13 years until he reconnected with Durant, and they traveled to basketball tournaments. Durant played for multiple basketball teams throughout his middle and high years and earned awards for his talent and skills.

In the 2007 NBA Draft, the Seattle Supersonics (formerly known as the Oklahoma City Thunder) selected Kevin Durant to join their team. At the end of the 2008-2009 NBA Season, Durant scored an average of 20.3 points, 4.4 rebound points, and 2.4 assistant points per game. He’s the third-youngest player to score at least 20 points per game for the entire season.

During the 2014-2015 NBA Season, Durant was diagnosed with a Jones fracture on his right foot and missed 17 games throughout the year. On March 27, 2015, Durant went through surgery on his right foot to reduce pain and discomfort. At the end of the season, Durant played 27 games with an average of 25.4 points, 6.6 rebound points, and 4.1 assistant points per game.

After an eight-year run with the Nets, Durant joined the Golden State Warriors on July 4. In March 2017, he suffered a Second Grade MCL (Medial Collateral Ligament) injury and bone bruise and forced him to recover and miss out on the last 19 games in the season. After weeks of recovery from his injuries, Durant returns on time to help the Warriors advance to the finals at the 2017 NBA Finals. At the end of the season, he scored an average of 35.2 points, 8.4 rebound points, and 5.4 assistant points per game.

On June 20, 2019, Durant announced his departure from the warriors and joined the Brooklyn Nets for the 2019-2020 NBA Season. However, Durant later revealed he couldn’t participate in the 2019-2020 NBA Season due to a recent injury.

On August 8, 2021, Durant signed a four-year contract with the Brooklyn Nets for $198 Million. His comeback wins over the Philadelphia 76ers and scores 28 points, 15 rebound points, and 12 assist points.

The Nets will keep updated on Kevin Durant’s recovery, and it won’t be the last time the fans see him in action.
