Six NBA Players had signed into The Los Angeles Lakers 

There’s no limit for NBA players to retire from playing in the NBA, as long as they’re mentally, physically, and spiritually healthy and in great strength. The average of NBA players retires from playing in the NBA within the mid-30s to early 50s.

However, the Los Angeles Lakers recruited new players to help them win the Championship title in the 2021-2022 NBA Season on October 19, 2021. After the loss to advance into the 2021 NBA finals, the Lakers want players to score multiple points, have defensive force, and have strong blocking ability.

The first player the Lakers had welcome is Carmelo Anthony. Anthony was draft into the NBA in 2003 and award 10x NBA All-Star, 6x All-NBA Team, and College NBA National Championship at Syracuse University. He previously played for the Portland Trail Blazers in 2019 and 2020 as a Small/Power Forward. However, Anthony was on the bench as a substitute player for another Small or Power Forward player.

Anthony has wanted to be award as an MVP or gain a championship title. He wasn’t able to achieve his goals due to personal circumstances. As a result of being on the bench most of the time during his play with the Blazers, he scored an average of 14.4 points, 4.7 rebound points, and 2.0 assistant points per game.

The Lakers can see the potential of having Carmelo Anthony play for their team, especially, he’s playing with a long-time high school friend, Lebron James. Anthony’s excited for the upcoming season and wants to prove to the Lakers that he can help them win a Champion title.

The second player the Lakers had welcome is Russell Westbrook. Westbrook was drafted into NBA in 2008 and award 9x NBA all-Star and NBA MVP for the 2016-2017 NBA Season. He previously played for the Washington Wizards in 2020 as a Point Guard. During his time playing with the Wizards, he scored an average of 22.2 points, 11.5 rebound points, and 11. 7 assistant.

Westbrook’s ability to shoot multiple points caught the attention of the Lakers and signed him a deal to play for them. His shooting skills will help the Lakers to stay in the lead; however, his defense force and quick-decision skills need improvement for a higher chance to secure into the finals and win the championship.

 The third player the Lakers had welcome is Trevor Ariza. Ariza was draft into the NBA in 2004 and award the 2009 NBA Championship with the Lakers. He previously played for the Miami Heat in 2020 as a Shooting Guard and Small Forward. During his time playing with the Heat, he scored an average of 9.4 points, 4.8 rebound points, and 1.8 assistant points per game.

It’ll be Anthony’s second time joining the Lakers as he made his first appearance in 2007 and 2008. He rejoices to team up with the Lakers and hopes to help them gain a Championship after the end of the 2021-2022 NBA Season.

The fourth player that the Lakers had welcome is Kendrick Nunn. He was draft into the NBA in 2019 and will be one of the youngest guard players to play in the Lakers’ history. He previously played for the Miami Heat in 2019 and 2020 as a Point/Shooting Guard. During his time playing with the Heat, he scored an average of 20.0 points, 3.0 rebound points, and 3.0 assistant points.

The Lakers were so impressed with Nunn’s quick decisions and multiple 3-point shots that they’ve decided to give him a 2-year contract to play for them. Nunn can give Westbrook advice on improving decisions to pass the ball to open teammates or block the opponents’ ball from scoring.

The fifth player that the Lakers had welcome is Dwight Howard. Howard was draft into the NBA in 2004 and award 8x All-Star & All-NBA, 5x All-Defensive Team, 2020 NBA Championship with the Lakers, and 3x Defensive Player of the Year. He previously played for the Philadelphia 76ers in 2020 as a Center/Power Forward. During his time playing with the 76ers, he scored an average of 7 points, 8.4 rebound points, and 0.9 assistant points per game.

It’ll be Howard’s third time joining the Lakers as he made his first appearance in 2012 and his second appearance in 2019. Howard was honorable to play with the Lakers once again and help them win another championship title since the 2019-2020 NBA Season. The Lakers are impressed with his defensive force; however, they can assist Howard with his 2-point and 3- point shots as it’s one of the main factors to keep in the lead on every game.

The sixth player that the Lakers had welcome is Malik Monk. Monk was draft into the NBA in 2017 and will be one of the youngest guard players to play in the Lakers’ history. He previously played for the Charlotte Hornets from 2017 to 2020 as a Shooting Guard.

During his time playing with the Hornets, he scored an average of 9.4 points, 2.1 rebound points, and 1.8 assistant points. The Lakers were impressed with Monk as he ranked in the 90th percentile on catching and shooting jumpers.

 It’s rare to come across NBA players who can perform athlete tricks to get the ball in the hoop without miss a step. Not only is Monk ranked in the 90th percentile that can help the Lakers to stay in the lead, but his vibrant will bring to the court, and no opponents will get in his way.

The Lakers have a full-time team to prepare for the 2021-2022 NBA Season, and the fans won’t be disappointed as they fulfill to capture another championship and regain their legacy as the best NBA team in history.
