Danny Ainge retired as President of the Boston Celtics and Brad Stevens has been promoted to the front office. Stevens spend eight seasons as head coach with a 354-282 record. Now the Celtics are now searching for a head coach and here are the leading candidates that should be consider.
Sam Cassell – Cassell has been working as an long time assistant under Doc Rivers and is currently at Philadelphia. He has ties with Boston as well as played for their 2008 season.
Kenny Atkinson – Currently assistant with the Clippers and was the Head Coach for Brooklyn for four seasons and coach them in the 2019 NBA playoffs.
Chauncey Billips – A former player with the Boston Celtics and currently assistant coach for the Los Angeles Clippers. He been rumored to become a future head coach and to work in the front office.
Jay Larranaga – Larranaga served as a long time assistant under Stevens for the Celtics. It will be a good idea to hire within, also he has a good report with personnel.
Jarron Collins – Another young and upcoming coach who is currently under Steve Kerr Golden State Warriors staff.
