Zion Green Emerging as Elite Power Forward in 2027 Recruiting Class

Zion Green, a 6-foot-7, 190-pound power forward from Camden High School in Camden, New Jersey, is quickly establishing himself as one of the top basketball prospects in the Class of 2027. A versatile and athletic forward, Green is currently rated a five-star recruit and is drawing national attention from top-tier college basketball programs.

Before transferring to Camden High in January 2025, Green spent his freshman year and part of his sophomore campaign at Philadelphia’s Imhotep Charter, a program known for producing elite basketball talent. Since arriving at Camden, he has made an immediate impact, averaging 14.2 points and 7.9 rebounds per game.

Green’s game is defined by his ability to score from all three levels. He’s an efficient finisher around the rim, has a reliable mid-range jumper, and is steadily extending his range beyond the arc. More than just a scorer, Zion excels at involving his teammates, using his court vision and passing ability to keep the offense flowing.

On the defensive end, Zion Green is just as effective. His combination of size, mobility, and instinctsallows him to guard multiple positions and make plays on the boards. His two-way potential is a major reason why several major programs have already extended scholarship offers.

In the travel circuit, Green competes with Team ASP, one of the top 16U squads in NXTPRO, where he continues to shine against elite competition.

With his ever-growing skill set, physical tools, and high basketball IQ, Zion Green is a name every college coach and scout should have circled. As he continues to develop, don’t be surprised if he becomes one of the most recruited players in the country.
