Aliou Dioum, Class of 2026 Center, Commits to West Virginia

West Virginia has secured a major piece for the future with the commitment of Aliou Dioum, a 6-foot-10 center from the Class of 2026. Dioum chose the Mountaineers over a strong field of programs, including Illinois, Mississippi State, Syracuse, UNLV, and Wake Forest, giving West Virginia fans plenty to be excited about.

Dioum is a high-motor player who can run the floor and bring energy on both ends of the court. Offensively, he boasts a polished skillset, capable of scoring inside the paint while also making plays in transition. On defense, Dioum is a dominant rim protector, altering shots and controlling the paint, making him a true two-way presence.

His combination of size, athleticism, and skill gives the Mountaineers a versatile big man who can anchor their frontcourt for years to come. With Dioum in the fold, West Virginia’s future looks even brighter as they continue to build around talent that can impact the game on both ends.

Stay tuned as we continue to follow Aliou Dioum’s development and his journey in Morgantown.
