Michigan has landed a major addition to its backcourt with the transfer of Elliot Cadeau, the starting point guard for North Carolina this past season. Cadeau, a two-year starter for the Tar Heels, brings experience and playmaking ability to the Wolverines as they look to reshape their roster.
Over his 74-game career at North Carolina—68 of which he started—Cadeau established himself as one of the top facilitators in the ACC. Last season, he ranked second in the conference in assists, averaging 6.2 per game. While his scoring numbers were modest (9.4 points per game on 44.5% shooting and 33.7% from three), his ability to distribute and control the offense made him a key piece for UNC.
Michigan will benefit from Cadeau’s experience and court vision as it looks to bounce back. His ability to run the offense and create opportunities for teammates will be crucial for the Wolverines’ success in the upcoming season.
