Caleb Love leads Arizona to a victory over Arizona State while Bob Hurley pulls his team off the court

Caleb Love scored 27 points, Jaden Bradley added 14 and Arizona outlasted rival Arizona State 81-72 on Saturday. Love was shooting 5 – 9 from 3 before being ejected with Arizona State’s B.J. Freeman with 30 seconds left. Love was kicked out for arguing after Freeman headbutted him under the basket.

Coach Hurley waved his Arizona State’s players off the floor due to trash talking boiled over when Arizona State’s B.J. Freeman headbutted Arizona’s Caleb Love in the lane. Love staggered back and started toward Freeman before yelling at one of the officials about the headbutt.

“Right near our bench, it was relentless, constant chatter from a couple of Arizona’s players that wasn’t being policed properly,” Hurley said. “Of course they’re going to be happy with winning, but it was done with no class, in my opinion.”

Carter Bryant had eight points, 10 rebounds, four steals and three blocked shots for Arizona, which shot 21 – 22 on free throws. Freeman led the Sun Devils with 19 points and Adam Miller added 16 for the Sun Devils.
