Kiyan Anthony will be attending Syracuse to follow his Father’s legacy 

Kiyan Anthony, a 6-foot-5 guard out of Long Island Lutheran High School has committed to Syracuse. He picked the Orange over USC. He made the announcement live-streamed on his father’s YouTube Channel “7 PM in Brooklyn.

Anthony will be the focal point on LUHI’s basketball team this season. As a junior, he averaged 10.3 points, 2.4 assists, 2.3 rebounds and 1.0 steals per game. This past summer he averaged 19.6 points per game with Team Melo on the Nike EYBL circuit. At the NBPA Top 100 camp in Orlando, he led the camp scoring by averaging 28.5 points per game.

Kyan has a-lot of shoes to fill in at Syracuse. His dad Carmelo led the program to a 2003 national championship as a freshman. He averaged 22.2 points, 10.0 rebounds and 2.2 assists per game. Carmelo number 15 jersey is retired in the rafter at The Carrier Dome. Also, the practice facility at is called the Carmelo K. Anthony Basketball Center. He continues to be a big supporter of the program.

Kiyan who is a four-star prospect will be joining Sadiq White who is also a four-star. In addition, the Orange add Aaron Womack (three-star) and Luke Fennell (four-star) to the 2025 recruiting class.
