Jasper Johnson will be taking his talents back to his Kentucky home

Five-star guard Jasper Johnson staying home to play for Mark Pope and the Kentucky Wildcats. The 6-foot-4 prospect choose the Wildcats over Louisville, Arkansas, North Carolina and Alabama.

Johnson is a well-rounded and versatile guard. He is a slasher who finishes well at the rim. The Kentucky commit finished in the top 10 scoring at the EYBL Peach Jam at 19.8 points despite shooting 37.9% from the field and 25.5% from the three-point line.

Johnson said “I feel like the trust is there between me and (Mark Pope) and the coaching staff until I die.” He will be playing his senior campaign at Overtime Elite. He start his high school career at Woodford County, Kentucky and enrolled at Link Academy in Missouri before transferring to OTE. 

This is Mark Pope first five star recruit since becoming the head coach at Kentucky. Johnson will be joining four star prospect Malachi Moreno who is also a native of Kentucky in the Class of 2025.
