Malachi Moreno a four star prospect out of Georgetown, Kentucky, has committed to play for the University of Kentucky. The 6-foot-11 Center chose the Wildcats over Ohio State, Arkansas, Notre Dame, UNC, Iowa, Louisville, and Indiana.
Moreno becomes the first commitment in Kentucky’s 2025 recruiting class. Moreno said “It being a dream school of mine since I was a wee little fella’,” “Just the coaching staff, the play-style and the place of Kentucky, it felt right. I felt that God was leading me in that way.”
Moreno is a top 25 prospect and is one of the top three centers in the class of 2025. Also Moreno said on why he choose Kentucky is “I chose Kentucky because of Coach Pope’s play style. He likes to play through their big men and allows them to pass. That’s a big part of my game. Since the day the new staff got the job, they have been very consistent recruiting me.”
