Louisville add Khani Rooths as Pat Kelsey get his first HS Commitment


Khani Rooths announced Wednesday that he has committed to Louisville. The 6-foot-8 forward from North Bethesda, Maryland who decommitted from Michigan on March 18 after head coach Juwan Howard was fired.

Rooths played his last two seasons at IMG Academy in Bradenton, Florida. This is Pat Kelsey’s first high school commit as Louisville men’s basketball head coach. 

He led IMG Academy to the semifinal round of the 2023 Chipotle Nationals and in this year’s quarter round. In the Adidas 3SSB circuit for New World, he average 15.6 points and 5.5 rebounds per game last summer. 

Rooths will be added into Louisville new incoming list along with ten other transfers Coach Kelsey has added. The transfers are: Terrence Edwards (James Madison), Chucky Hepburn (Wisconsin), J’Vonne Holiday (Colorado), Aboubacar Traore (Long Beach State), Kobe Rodgers (Charleston), Kasean Pryor (South Florida), Aly Khalifa (BYU) Koren Johnson (Washington), Reyne Smith and James Scott (Charleston).
