Cam Scott a 6-foot-5 Shooting Guard out of Lexington, SC has committed to Rodney Terry’s Texas Longhorns basketball program. He choose Texas over Alabama, Auburn, Mississippi, Oregon and hometown South Carolina.
“I really felt that Texas was the place for me to be,” Scott said. “It was a hard choice, I’m not going to lie. But I felt it was always going to be home. From the beginning, I always had thoughts about Texas in the back of my head. … I want to take them back to the Final Four.”
He is the first Class of 2024 recruit to commit to Texas. This summer Scott help his stock by having an outstanding performance in the Pangos All-American Camp. He is a prolific scorer and a good defender. Scott will play his last high school season at Lexington HS in South Carolina.
