Gonzaga lands Graham Ike

Former Wyoming star forward Graham Ike has transferred to Gonzaga. Ike, a former Preseason Mountain West Player of the Year who’s been one of the most sought-after big men in the transfer portal for the last month.

Ike missed last season with a lower leg injury, will have three years of eligibility remaining. In the 2021-22 season he averaged 19.5 points and 9.6 rebounds to lead the Cowboys to a 25-9 finish and an NCAA Tournament appearance as a sophomore.

“Graham is exactly the big guy we’ve been looking for and in need of for next season,” GU Head Coach Mark Few said. “After having him up for a visit and meeting he and his Mom, he’s just going to be the perfect fit for our program. He is a young man of high character, who is really focused and a hard worker. He has shown himself to be a highly effective player over the years.”

Ike chose the Bulldogs over the likes of Arkansas, Arizona, Arizona State, Butler, Colorado, Georgetown, Gonzaga, Indiana, Iowa State, Kansas, Missouri, San Diego State, Seton Hall, Tennessee, Xavier, Washington State and West Virginia since entering the transfer portal.
