The Florida Rebels leaned on one of the nation’s most explosive scorers, and Cayden Daughtry once again delivered on the biggest stage.
Daughtry poured in a game-high 37 points to lead the Florida Rebels to an impressive 82-78 victory over Vegas Elite, continuing a remarkable EYBL season that has established him as one of the premier guards in grassroots basketball.
The 6-foot-1 guard showcased his complete offensive arsenal, shooting 14-of-25 (56%) from the field while relentlessly attacking the basket. Although his three-point shot wasn’t falling (1-for-8), Daughtry made up for it by getting to the free-throw line and converting 8-of-9 attempts.
His final stat line was outstanding:
- 37 points
- 14-of-25 field goals (56%)
- 1-of-8 from three-point range
- 8-of-9 free throws
- 7 rebounds
- 2 assists
- 4 steals
Daughtry’s impact extended well beyond scoring. His four steals fueled the Rebels’ transition game, while his seven rebounds demonstrated his willingness to compete on both ends of the floor despite standing just 6-foot-1.
Throughout the EYBL season, Daughtry has established himself as the league’s leading scorer, consistently proving he can carry an offense against elite competition. His fearless mentality, ability to create his own shot, and relentless attacking style have made him one of the toughest covers in the circuit.
His stellar play has also earned him the opportunity to represent Team USA in Turkey, another significant milestone that reflects the national recognition he continues to receive.
Against Vegas Elite, Daughtry once again showed why he’s one of the most exciting guards in the country. In a tightly contested game, he delivered when his team needed him most, helping the Florida Rebels secure a hard-fought four-point victory.
As the summer continues, Cayden Daughtry’s stock continues to rise. With elite scoring ability, defensive activity, and growing national exposure, he is proving he belongs in every conversation about the top guards in the Class of 2027.
