Providence receives a commitment from Jamier Jones 

Jamier Jones a top 25 prospect from the Class of 2025 has committed to Providence.  The 6-foot-6 small forward choose the Friars over South Carolina, LSU, Ohio St., Kansas and Houston.

Jones is a five star prospect and first team All-State in Florida this past season after leading his Oak Ridge High School to the Class 7A state championship game. He averaged 19.2 points, 8.5 rebounds and 3.2 assists per contest while shooting 68 percent from the field. Jones is playing in the Nike EYBL circuit with the Florida Rebels averaging 18.8 points and 4.8 rebounds. 

“It’s just the loyalty that Providence has shown me,” Jones said. “Coach (Kim) English has been coaching me before I even get there.” Jones will be joined in Class of  2026 prospect Oswin Erhunmwunse, a four-star recruit who announced his commitment in January.
