AJ Dybansta scored 23 points to help the USA Junior National team to a 122 to 53 win over Mexico. Cameron Boozer had a double-double with 17 points and 10 rebounds.
With the win, USA heads into the quarterfinal matchup against Uruguay on Friday. Team USA started off the game leading 18-0 and never look back. Their defense look spectacular in which they forced turnovers and had 32 steals.
Mexico had 39 turnovers and shot 19 for 64 on the field; 5 for 20 beyond the arc. Team USA outbound Mexico 51 to 31.
Karim Lopez led the Mexico team with 23 points. Koa Peat had 14 points and five assists while Darryn Peterson and Tyran Stokes had 14 points.
