Dedan Thomas Jr. commits to UNLV to follow his father footsteps 

Dedan Thomas Jr. a 6-foot-1 point guard from Liberty HS (NV) has committed to play for UNLV. He chose the Runnin Rebels over Arizona, Gonzaga, UCLA and Florida.

“I’m going to UNLV, I’m staying home,” Thomas told 247sports.com. “I’m very excited about it. I got a special feeling when I was campus, I didn’t get that feeling anywhere else, I just felt that really special feeling in my heart when I was on campus and around all of those guys.”

Thomas will be following his father footsteps Dedan Thomas who played for UNLV in the 90’s. He would be joining top returning scorers Luis Rodriguez and Justin Webster, twin transfers Khalib (Oklahoma State) and Keylan Boone (Pacific), and former Clark standout Jalen Hill (Oklahoma).
