Kenny Patterson – One of NYC’s Toughest Point Guards

Kenny Patterson is a native of Jamacia, Queens New York out of Rochdale Village. Patterson is a 6-1 Point Guard who played at Forest Hills High School and became an All City selection in the Class of 1981.

Then he played for the legendary Ray Meyer at DePaul University and started as a freshman. In addition, started all his four years at DePaul and still holds the record in assist. He was drafted by the Indiana Pacers in the third round of the 1985 NBA Draft.

Kenny P had some serious handles and you had a hard time getting a steal from him. During his stint in college he played in the Summer Leagues in Chicago and he was swinging elbows with Mark Aguirre and Isiah Thomas.

Kenny Patterson was inducted into the DePaul Basketball Hall of Fame. We salute Kenny P for being one of the best point guards to play in New York.
